In the second quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Ecuador showed varied trends on the Android platform. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps, with data insights from Sensor Tower.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 13.7K and peaking at 16K by the end of June. The app maintained a significant number of weekly active users, starting at around 775K and reaching a high of 924K in mid-April before seeing a decline to 770K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride saw weekly downloads ranging from 6.6K to 8.4K, with a notable rise towards the end of the quarter. Its weekly active users showed an increase from 494K at the start of April to 515K by the end of June, indicating steady engagement.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had a more volatile download trend, with numbers starting at 3.3K and rising to 3.6K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users began at 179K, peaking in early April at 195K, and then gradually declining to 134K by the end of June.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver experienced a steady increase in downloads, starting at 1.8K and reaching 2.4K mid-May. Active users remained relatively stable, with numbers hovering around 33K throughout the quarter.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash had download numbers that fluctuated between 740 and 1.1K. The active user base started at 18.8K and saw a gradual decline to 15.8K by June's end.
